Cherishing memories with Photojaanic

Remember the time of camera rolls? Yes...once upon a time and then technological advancement happened! In this digital age all the pictures that we click (which is every now and then) gets stored in files and folders of our high end gadgets. But for people like me who are torn between the "Guzara hua zamana" and the "Need of the hour" crave for seeing their memories in print often. So, then what options do we have?

Photojaanic helps you do wonderful things with your photos in a jiffy! It offers a multitude of services like photo books, tabletop mount, magnets, wall photo frames, collage poster and canvas lite.

Very recently, we celebrated our 15th anniversary and I really wanted special moments of our life to be captured and displayed in our bedroom wall. For this  I chose Canvas Lite.

This is a beautiful way to get your photos on to a canvas and they have varying sizes too, to suit your needs!

Let me give you an idea of how it works. In a series of  5 simple steps you can have your memories  printed and cherished forever on the canvas !

To begin with...

1.You visit the Photojaanic website

  

2. Look for Wall Art in the header and you again have a range of options to choose from.I opted for  Canvas Lite. You can even choose the size that you would want. This should be done in accordance with the wall where you would be displaying your photo art.

 I chose the 12*18 portrait size as I felt that the photos I had selected would suit the size.

3. Keep the selected photos ready with you  on your device and just 'Get Started' ! Yes! that simple.

4.Again here, you have various themes to chose from.Keeping the photo that you want to display, choose the theme. They have baby themes, themes for the newly wed, joyous moments and I went in for the Full image. A style for every occasion!

5. Upload your photo, edit it, if need be, look at the preview on offer, finalize, make the payment using all regular payment methods and now just sit back and relax!!!

Your shipment would be on its way and delivered to you safe and sound within 4-5 days.

 

Some details worth mentioning are:

1.Durable canvas material with gloss finish to protect your images.

2.Images wrap fully around 0.5" thin sides.

 3.Wall mount hook attached at the back for easy display on walls

These photo prints are ready to be  put up on the wall as soon as they have been unwrapped from the packaging. Canvas lite prints don't require glass and are lightweight, so they're safe and convenient to use. Let your walls do the talking!

 Some points worth remembering while you choose the snap to be printed are:

 1. A high resolution image is always recommended, otherwise you may not get the desired results.

2. There should be a sense of balance between the subject and the background

Walls are an important aspect when it comes to dressing up your home. There is no denying that fact because it is where your gaze falls as you enter a room.We can have various ways to highlight the walls in a given space

I feel so happy when someone reads my posts, comments on it and today am very glad  that after reading my last post on wall art, a dear friend and a follower of SAJAVAT  has sent me her creation.

Mainly I did this to hide the nail markings and some stains on the wall, till it waited for a colouring job... :)"

ART ON WALLS

Sometimes you come across art that has to find a mention.The beauty captivates  you and often at such times I wonder who the artists ,behind such amazing creativity might be.

I am inspired by the random clicks that I have taken at two different locations.Have you ever come across such art wherein the artist is unknown but the art speaks volume..

These two paintings are drawn on the walls of a eatery joint ..

This warli drawing outside a home in Bangalore..

Though am no great artists like them ,am trying my hand at something smaller.just to give you all an idea..a sneak peak.

I intend to paint in some of these boxes..may be something that is nature inspired..some thing that can go well in a balcony set up.yes this wall shelf is in my balcony..If any of you have any idea of what I can paint ,pls share.Also if you have painted or drawn or doodled let me know..I will be pleased to feature the artist behind them.

Inspiration

It is important to inspire and be inspired..

There are many people out there who have great ideas.What is required is a keen eye and also a  heart to appreciate the beauty ,then ofcourse to be inspired by the idea,to create something wonderful in your own capacity.



I know all this sounds weird and out of place but lately I came across certain simple & beautiful creations that have inspired me .I have also taken the creative freedom to readopt these designs.


so here are pics of what I have been blabbering about....




On one of our road trips,we came across this massive gate.It is the gate leading to Janapada loka,a folk centre in Ramanagara district on the Bangalore-Mysore highway.

Have a closer look at the peacocks.I love the bird and the motif on the gate. Its soon going to find a place in one of my creations may be on the wall or on a terracotta pot??

Next is this painted wall inside the KAMAT LOKARUCHI Eatery area. what I loved about this was apart from the wall mural was the hanging onions and garlics.It makes the place look so rustic,yet charming!!May be one corner in my kitchen I can implement this design.

Next in line are these designs created by an artist inside the inner walls of Cauvery Art Emporium.These as borders are truly awesome and stole my heart.I had this itch to use them immediately and that I did on cushion covers as borders..But for all those of you who have a staircase running inside your home,wont it look lovely when painted on the edges of stairs,or as borders skirting a passage or on the ledge in a balcony.Tell me what you think of all these ideas..

A makeover story

A unique experience

Hey guys am so excited!!
Got a makeover done at my home by ASIAN PAINTS.Many of you may be aware of the "SURPRISE YOUR SPOUSE" campaign launched by Asian Paints for their Royale play brand. Am sure you would have seen Saif Ali khan ad where he is a part of a makeover process.
Bad luck,couldn't meet him though!
when I saw this ad,I thought it was time to give a real surprise to my husband and a makeover surprise adds such a fun element to the whole concept.

BEFORE

The plain wall


well it all started with fixing "the day" for the makeover.I chose a working day so that my hubby is away for the better part of the day.Finalised the combing texture and Mango as the base coat,Glowing rust as the top coat.
I chose this shade keeping in mind the rest of the decor.The idea was that the wall is highlighted at the same time it should blend in with the other decor element which is almost beige and orange in my home.ROYALE PLAY has a variety of shades and textures to chose from,actually you are spoilt for choice here.

I chose a wall which is the most highlighted in our house so that after the makeover it gets a more enhanced look.

Asian paints were there at my place by 10 am on the chosen day.They began working first by masking certain areas so as to make sure that there is no mess in other areas.Then they had to scrape the wall to smoothen it.Thereafter applied the base coat Mango,we joked that it looks as yummy as aamras.

After an hour or so after the first coat dried it was time for the final coat.

This was the most interesting.one guy applied the glowing rust where as the other guy used this combing tool to create the design and the required effect.
Lo and Behold! by 4p.m we were done.It was quick and mess free.

Final look

Now the wait was for my husband for whom we were taking all the pain.I had this butterfly feeling in my stomach.But all is well that ends well.He was surprised to no end that I could do something of this sort behind his back.
